Kitchener-Waterloo: a guidebook from memory was published in 2016 by Robert Motum and Madeline Samms with the support of the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund.

The text is the culmination of a year-long community art project which asked residents of Kitchener and Waterloo to submit memories connected to places in the Region. Part tourist guide; part art book; part essay; part performance - the map invites residents of KW to explore the region through the eyes of their neighbours.

The book is available for free in e-book form here, or can be purchased as a softcover for $15 on our products page. It can be found in libraries, and some retailers, throughout Kitchener-Waterloo.

Are you an artist interested in the 'guidebooks from memory' project, with connections to a community in Canada? We would love to hear from you!
