Kingston: a guidebook from memory is a community art project towards the creation of a physical 'guidebook' of Kingston. Unlike traditional tourist guides which highlight local attractions, this book is an invitation to experience our city through the stories of our neighbours.

Que vous ayez vécu à Hamilton toute votre vie ou que vous vous soyez simplement arrêté pour une visite, nous vous invitons à soumettre des souvenirs liés à des lieux de notre ville. 

 

Quels endroits de notre ville ont une importance pour vous ? Quel est votre premier souvenir à Hamilton? Quels souvenirs continuent de s'attarder ouhantervotre rue, votre quartier, votre trajet domicile-travail?

Submissions are anonymous and might resemble:

​

• the bench where you had your first kiss

• the park where you walk your dog each morning

• the place you visited on a grade seven field trip

​

Submissions can be short or long, poetic or prose, detailed or vague: whatever you wish to share. Submissions chosen for the book will be accompanied by a sketch of the memory location by local Kingston artists.
